REPORTER ARYA WEDAKARNA ZULFIKAR RAMLY AT BALI POLDA APPRECIATES THE DECISION OF BK DPD RI

Friday 2 February 2024

BaliWartaGlobal. I'd,
Zulfikar Ramly, an advocate and also a reporter for Arya Wedakarna, former DPD RI, really appreciates the decision of the Honorary Board of the BK DPD RI which has imposed heavy sanctions with the permanent dismissal of Arya Wedakarna which was read out at the DPD RI plenary session in Jakarta, Friday 2 February 2024,

By firing Arya Wedakarna, the criminal process for the reported Arya Wedakarna will be very easy and it is ensured that there will be no more administrative obstacles because the bureaucratic permission from the President is no longer needed, stressed Ramly,

As previously known, Ramly had reported Arya Wedakarna to the Bali Regional Police for Arya Weda Karna's statement which was uploaded to his viral Instagram account because he was suspected of insulting and causing feelings of hatred or enmity towards certain individuals and/or groups of society based on ethnicity, religion, race,  and between groups as regulated in Article 45 A paragraph (2) jo 28 (2) Law Number 19 of 2016 Amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE with a threat of 6 years and Article 156 a of the Criminal Code,

Simultaneously with the criminal report at the Bali Regional Police which was reported by Ramly, the Bali MUI also reported Arya Wedakarna to the Honorary Board of the DPD RI regarding AWK's statement which was alleged to have racial implications and based on the Bali MUI report, it was proven that Arya Wedakarna was fired because he was proven to have committed a serious violation.
Ramly urged the Bali Regional Police to move quickly to follow up on the BK DPD RI's decision and immediately escalate its report to investigation and designate AWK as a suspect and immediately try it in court, he concluded.
